I went to literally two lectures the whole semester because they were so pointless. Homework assignments take FOREVER, and often are changed halfway through the time we had to complete them. I had a great TA so my labs were the only thing that got me through this class. If taking 331, get started on hw assignments as soon as you possibly can.Rate My Professors ↗
Aside from having handouts, he never seems prepared for lectures, and you rarely learn anything from them. He says his assignments are short, but they take HOURS of your week. There are also mistakes on every assignment that he usually discovers mid-week, meaning we have to redo 1+ problems. Thankfully I had a great TA, but avoid Oakley if you can.Rate My Professors ↗
Reflecting on the pedagogical approach of Jason Oakley, it was a certainty in every session that one would encounter a heightened state of conceptual ambiguity.
