Discussion-heavy class on course readings, which were interesting but dense. Jamie is a really great professor overall though and definitely cares about student's success in class.

Lots of readings but very interesting content and Jamie was super interactive. I loved his teaching style so much and I got a lot out of this class!

Very helpful and understanding. The department switched the website the semester that I took the class, but Jamie was very thoughtful in taking workload into account with the new system and encouraged the department head to alter essays and assignments to be more realistic for the timeline. Very involved in classes and easily available outside them

Classes are very active, and you will be expected to answer questions every class for your participation grade. He gives good feedback and as long as you put a little bit of effort into the essay and assignments you will get a good grade.

Jamie friendly, funny, and wants you to be successful. He speaks mostly in Spanish, so I don't feel like a learn a ton about grammar in class. You must do a lot of the learning outside of class, and then in-class is mostly just practicing. All the homework is entirely online and is auto-graded which is a little frustrating. You must write 6 essays.
