Ida is caring, gives good feedback, and makes activities fun. If you're looking for a language class that you can cheat through, this isn't the class; however, it is also not hard at all as long as you show up. Professor Johnson is a really kind person. You can tell that she cares about her students and wants everyone to do well. You have to put in the work and there are high expectations but that's how you end up knowing the language really well. I am a student who cares and attends every lecture no matter what class. I attended every lecture even though participation was not mandatory. I tried my best on every assignment and thought it would be noted. Sadly this was not the case (my major not being within Van Hise = Disadvantage). If you're a STEM/Business major looking for an easy literature class DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. I regret falling into the "Madgrades Trap" and not asking around about the Professor specifically.
