Professor Rojas was great! I enjoyed the content and learned so much about bias in media. There's only 2 essays, a midterm, and a final but just as long as you know what you understand the content in the lectures, you will be fineRate My Professors ↗
Professor Rojas is very passionate about what he teaches and connects easily with his students. He utilizes his slides a lot, showing pictures, bullet points, but also actively engaging with the students. He has multiple guest lectures from all over. interesting lectures, but you can totally get away with rarely attending because most of the information is on the slides. gets guest lecture heavy near the end + most didn't count towards the final (+ kinda sucked). when scores were low for the midterm, he adjusted the final to make it easier. discussions are boring and you have to give a speech.Rate My Professors ↗
professor rojas is very intellectual, but sometimes i felt like the lectures sometimes were repetitive. the midterm had more to do with psychology than journalism imo, but if u just learning the definitions of each concept you'll do fine (they curved by 2.5 points cause i assume that everyone didn't do so well) also find a good TA.Rate My Professors ↗
