Professor Han is amazing. He cares a lot about his students and their learning. Was easy on deadlines and extended homeworks very often. Tests were challenging but insightful - easy if you study and work throughout the course.

Han is very nice and knowledgeable. I was able to get insights of machine learning techniques from a mathematical view. I would definitely take another class from him. One weakness of this class is the organization and lecture notes of this class which were provided by the previous professor. Other than that, the class was awesome.

MATH 535

Professor Han is very knowledgeable about the material, but often the end goal was unclear. 535 was intended to be more of a data science course, but it felt like an extension of linear algebra with a focus on proofs. His philosophy with exams was to make them pretty hard, but grade them leniently. He is very accessible and understanding.
