I dropped the class right away so I don't know if he got better eventually, but when I was in the class (SP25), he did not explain anything and would say the concepts were simple and we should remember them from previous classes, but they were not things I had learned in any class (I took Calc 1-3 at UW). While Professor Rooney may not be the best lecturer, he was a very understanding teacher. I went to his office hours for a completely different math course and he still took time to help me understand. I also had many health issues during the semester and he was INCREDIBLY kind and supportive of my recovery and made generous accommodations.Rate My Professors ↗
Turned 75 minute lecture into 50 every time, speeds through everything. Feels like review session for something we already know vs learning it. Doesn't elaborate on anything, have to interrupt mid lecture to ask questions. Class is not hard but get ready to teach yourself if he is your professor. The worst professor ive ever had. He does not care about his students and does not make an effort to explain anything ever. The class is decent itself but only if you watch youtube videos and not his lectures.Rate My Professors ↗
Where do I even begin? He is a terrible lecturer, changes topics mid-sentence, and talks in a very incoherent way. He Has a lot of verbal quirks that make following him really hard. I constantly found myself being confused in his lectures, even on topics that I knew very well beforehand. The contents of his lecture are poorly organized as well.Rate My Professors ↗
Brutal on the grading, stated the curve was anything less than 80 is a D when the class average on the midterm was 78. He intentionally made the exam harder because the class was online and the questions were way too hard for every exam to finish in time. Consistently did not upload lectures and assignments on time.
