He was very bad at making sense during the lecture and tends to talk in riddles. He couldn't quite figure out pacing out lectures, so the ending of class was very rushed.

I recommend that you choose any other 112 professor besides Ethan. He teaches extremely fast and uses a chalk board instead of projection screens in attempt to write everything down, not successfully. You will need to teach yourself, he often times cannot explain what he's teaching, just does the work on the board. You're better off self teaching

Made Participaion madatory on a random day despite it not being applicable all year, when the TA explained things it made a lot more sense than when Ethan would. Not engaging in the slightest and gives a lot of homework/quizzes. All material I covered in high school never seemed this difficult.
