Eric Wilcots is a blessing unto the UW-Madison astronomy department. He's an engaging lecturer since he cares deeply about the subject matter. Readings are semi-necessary since one midterm is written reflections on them, otherwise the second midterm is an easy speech to the class. Lovely class, highly recommend.

Wilcots is a great prof that clearly loves the content he's teaching. There are 3 midterms and a poster at the end of the semester so study for the exams. Really interesting class!

Incredible professor. considered changing majors just to be able to learn more from him. made difficult topics easy and incredibly engaging. loved this class. go in for help and you'll have no issues.
