Eric was a great professor and very knowledgeable about various social issues. I really enjoyed his class because you learn about a lot of topics you wouldn't typically cover in a normal Soc/Int Studies class. Most work is online and attendance isn't mandatory, but lectures are interesting fs. He brings in good guest speakers too.Rate My Professors ↗

The class is an easy A. He noticed people weren't showing up and stopped posting the slides until the following week so that you couldn't do the weekly assignments without attending lecture, so just show up and you'll be fine. The 3 news article papers, 1 ai paper, and the final paper were easy. Could clearly tell his stance on political issues.Rate My Professors ↗
The class is an easy A, very little work... 4 papers, weekly discussion prep/takeaways, and a weekly quiz. Lectures are extremely boring and not worth going to as you can get an A without going. He reads exactly what it says on the slides which you can find online. Lots of guest speakers which can be interesting but are often unrelated to the classRate My Professors ↗

Professor Ely is amazing! I took this class to fill my ethnic studies requirement and I'm so glad I did. There are weekly readings and questions/a short quiz based on them.
