Dr. Prendergast is an amazing professor, she's very knowledgeable in philosophy plus she is kind to all of the students. I LOVED the lectures, all of the topics were so interesting. The only thing I was disappointed about was that I did the lengthly readings before every class and like half the class never read and still got the same grade as me:(Rate My Professors ↗
I just saw that Emma got a page on this website, so this review is from Spring of 2020. Emma is an engaging, stellar teacher. Don't sign up for her class just to skip it, the lectures are worth it! I absolutely loved having Emma this past semester! You can tell that she really cares about her students and their understanding of the material. The course load is very do-able and all of it actually enhances your learning. There were never too many readings and they were always very interesting as well.Rate My Professors ↗

Emma is actually the best professor I have had at UW. She is so understanding and kind as well as a great lecturer. The material is pretty easy to understand and follow, and I have learned so much.
