Derek is really a very solid professor. I had him for a small, 12 person Comm A class and he truly cared that we all succeeded. He made it clear what he was looking for in all of our speeches and pushed us to improve with each one. Perhaps the only complaint I had was the amount of time given between writing speeches. He is very passionate with the material, and is also not a tough grader on all the speeches we have to complete. It is an interesting course to make some friends in your first semester and exercise your speaking and courage. I end up with an AB pretty easily.Rate My Professors ↗
