Professor Sondak is a great professor, but the course itself is very challenging. This was especially true for me, as I am not an Engineering Major. Luckily I scraped by with a C, but I worked my butt off. The curve is also pretty tough--you needed a 95% to get an A. Overall though, he is very passionate about math, and one of the better professors

Professor Sondak is far-and-away the best math professor I've ever had at UW. His lectures are fascinating, he is a very engaging speaker, and he explains everything very clearly. The curve is tough, but if you go to lecture every day and keep up to date, you'll do fine. Absolutely absolutely take a class with Sondak!

One of the best math professors I have had. Explains material clearly and with noticeable enthusiasm. He genuinely cares about his students. If you have the option to take a class with him, do it.
