This guy is top notch! He really knows is stuff , invested in his students and the topics he teaches about. He is approachable. Yes, there is quite a bit of reading and discussion based on it. However, if you show up for class and participate in discussion , pay attention it helps quite a bit on exams. Wish I could have him for every class

Music, Movies, & the '60s was the best class I have ever taken at UW. Craig is so caring, knowledgeable, and cool. He assigns a lot of books but I just read the sparknotes and still got a good grade. Craig has a lot of guests come in and plays a lot of music and movies. Always go to movie nights! The movies are not that great but the pizza is.

Far and away one of the top professors at UW. Craig's knowledge of history, music, politics, culture, race, and much else, is vast to say the least. If you actually come to school to learn, you will. Make sure to meet him outside of classes as well-- he's one who will actually listen to you.

I left every class just blown away, in a good way. You will learn a ton, and a lot of it won't be about textbook stuff really but about really deep issues. Lots of reading!
