I am not interested in policy at all, and yet I loved this class. She is passionate, super knowledgable, and wants us to do well. Exams and midterms are EXACTLY the material we discuss in lecture, no need to do the additional readings. Op-Eds were graded a tad harshly, but overall grading is fair and very attainable to get an A. Great professor!Rate My Professors ↗
I really loved this class.The lectures were super interesting and Prof Durrance taught at a good pace which kept me engaged the whole time. The midterm and final were weighted a little bit on the heavier side but if you study your notes/class slides and go through the practice exam she provides should be good.Rate My Professors ↗
Engaging, passionate. Lectures will be boring if you have taken any intro to econ courses. Easy HW. Accessible outside of class. Cares about student well-being. Did not indicate political leanings in any way. Group paper/project for final; one midterm. Participation matters. Lays out expectations from the start. Please just wait to take this course with someone else. Professor Durrance is clearly very knowledgeable, but makes it impossible to do well in the course. She doesn't update current grades, heavily weights assessments that are ABSOLUTELY nothing like the practice exams, and grade the written assessment extremely harshly.Rate My Professors ↗
