She basically sums up the reading in the lectures so I know a lot of people who get away without doing any of the reading.

Professor Olson was a very kind, inclusive, and understanding professor. Her TA was as well. However, I found the grading contract concept to be elementary. For example, an A was equal to an "exceeds expectations," a B to "meets expectations," and so forth as I understood it. Also, she assigned extensive readings that we barely talked about.

Like another reviewer said, clearly has a political agenda and there is no original thought that goes into her materials and lectures. Easy A, but also a cheap indoctrination attempt and no actually inspiring, thoughtful content.

I dont believe in the whole "college liberal indoctrination" idea, but I can see how someone would get that idea if they saw this class. Prof Olsen clearly has a political agenda as she uses the overbroad definition of "rhetoric" to teach what is basically a history class about how white people oppress everyone. Easy A but waste of time.

Professor Olson is very flexible and responsive to students' needs. It is clear that Professor Olson puts in a lot of time and effort to make this class as adaptive to students' needs as possible. If you put in the effort to show up to class, participate, and turn in the assignments, you will get an A.
