He's one of the best professors I've ever had! The lectures are really interesting, the homework isn't busy work, and he genuinely cares about us as individuals. He tries to make connections to Korean media he thinks we'd be interested in and he gives us a lot of autonomy when it comes to pair work and projects. He grades very leniently as well.

Prof Lim is a great, straightforward professor. I didn't always learn much during lecture, but he put in a lot of effort to make sure the content was understood. He does call on people a lot, but he won't call on you if you ask him not to. There are a lot of small homeworks, but they are very easy. He can be a little scary, but he's really nice :)

Professor Lim was generally a good professor and showed that he cared about his students. I definitely had a harder time learning in the class as I felt that lecture was somewhat unhelpful and I don't think I learned too much from it. Be prepared to get called on during lectures.

Great Professor! One of my favorite classes I've taken as UW-Madison. If you follow the class expectations, it's easy to get a good grade-just study and you'll do well! Very friendly to talk to, and his concern and care regarding students is easy to see. Would definitely recommend him to anyone debating taking Korean at UW-Madison.

He's an amazing professor and great at his job. He makes studying Korean fun and entertaining. Attendance is mandatory for all sections of class, but it's definitely for your own good. There's homework assigned after each class, but if you keep up with the material, it doesn't take long at all.

My favorite professor at UW. Korean can be a difficult language to learn but he makes it fun and easy. He tries to include TV, music, movies, and culture into the lectures so it's not just straight grammar and reading. There is a lot of repetition, but that's necessary for language learning. He's always super helpful and will answer any questions.
