Professor Whittle is a an extremely good philosophy professor. He is very good at make course content simple and intuitive. Moreover his lectures are very organized, and he is also skilled at making course material engaging. When I took the course weekly homework assignments were graded on participation and exams were very fair.

As long as you actually attend lecture and are engaging with the material, you will be fine. I went to 1 discussion section the whole semester, if you're struggling I would recommend going though. Everything he teaches is in the textbook for the course. Fun lecturer.

Professor Whittle's lectures are great, he doesn't hesitate to help you understand if you are lost, and he is very thorough with the course material. Going to lecture will guarantee at minimum a passing grade, not going will set you behind severely. Prof. can be difficult to understand at times, but simply ask for clarity and he will not hesitate.

He is very thorough in his explanations, if you don't understand what is happening, he won't hesitate to help you. I liked how nothing was on canvas, except for the textbook. Showing up to lectures will guarantee at minimum a passing grade.

For 562: Amazing. Most engaged in a class I've ever been after 4 years at UW. Great at fostering curiosity and arguments about the content. Homework and readings are very manageable. First philosophy class ever and I felt like I could jump right in. Highly recommend 562 with Bruno

PHILOS 211
Quality 4/5Difficulty 3/5
This class is easy and the exams are straightforward. It gets relatively challenging in the final third because of more abstract concepts. I was doubtful about his style of teaching (chalkboard) but I've grown to really enjoy it. He doesn't post much on Canvas so if you're lost you have to go to office hours or teach yourself. Don't miss lecture!
