BELINDA MUCKLOW

Belinda is a really good professor. Very smart and really knows what she is talking about. Fin 420 has one exam and then a pitch book for your final. You can expect to pull atleast one all nighter for the pitch book. Its a lot of work but really good class, I learned a lot and really liked her as a professor.

Available for answering questions after class, but not very clear during the lectures. She doesn't teach that much, but merely gives a large amount of homework so that we learn through practice. Solutions (almost) never available though. WSJ quizzes don't always make sense.

I have to say she is an excellent professor as she organizes lectures pretty well and exams are fair. If you are a finance or accounting person, you will be able to manage to get an AB with efforts. However, she seems like she never checks her email during vacation. Never replied my email for questions about final grade until the deadline.

If you're taking fin300 you should just know going in that the course is tough. Getting an A requires some serious dedication (and maybe even some luck), but if you study hard then you'll definitely get a B or better. That said, Belinda's pretty great. She makes fin300 as enjoyable as fin300 can be. Cool lady.

Engaging and charismatic professor. Begins with current events discussion, works through examples during lecture. Homework is time-consuming and unrelated to exams. Discussion helpful for practice problems. Exams are very long and difficult, but extremely fair. Excellent professor.

Does not understand that everyone in the class is not a finance or accounting major and the material is difficult to understand when she puts up a random problem and tells you to solve it however you want. Goes through lectures fast, not taking the time to explain things. Exams completely unrelated to hw & quizzes that would take 20 hrs each week.
