Austin was by far the worst professor/instructor I have ever had. While I wasn't a fan of his overly rehearsed and boring lectures, everyone has a different style and comfort level. What I can't forgive is how absolutely unforgiving the class is. He doesn't want a class about the internet to be easy but has gone far too far in the other direction.Rate My Professors ↗

Austin isn't even a professor but I've never had an instructor so unwilling to help his students succeed. His grading is extremely unclear and harsh. He reads straight from lecture slides and the majority of the tests are on readings, which there are a ridiculous number of. He puts on a front like he is a cool, hip prof but he's actually the worst.Rate My Professors ↗

HAHA the WORST class of all time!!!! Don't take! This professor is awful and his TA is not much better. Had a hard time coming to class cuz i could see Austin reading his script from behind the podium! This isn't an acting class dude. Speak organically and you'll probably one have a less than half full class by the end of the semester! Zero stars!Rate My Professors ↗

Material is fine but grading is AWFUL.Rate My Professors ↗

Good lecturer, speaks a bit too fast. Main problem of this course is not lecture, but discussion and grading. Going to discussion and speak once in a while means a C, TopHat discussion means you have to do every single one and no leniency, said Twitter needed at least 5 but in the end you need 10, pathetic grading by Joe and Austin.Rate My Professors ↗

Going into this class I was super excited because I love the class material, but once the semester came to an end I was very disappointed with the class. The strictness of criteria is NOT made clear at all. The descriptions for assignments are too vague to reach the high standards of the graders. Very stingy with attendance policy.Rate My Professors ↗
