He makes you read A LOT. The exams are all short answer and essay, but he tells you the possible topics ahead of time. Also on the final we were allowed to have a "notecard" which was actually a full sheet of paper. I don't like history and I thought this was an easy class

Need to attend lecture to pass. A lot of outside reading and homework assignments that are grades pretty toughly. Essays are graded extremely hard, so the finals and midterms are easy except for the essay portion which get graded tough. Gives pop quizzes on random classes usually every other Friday so you must show up. TAs arent helpful either.

Professor Biss was a good teacher. His lectures were straightforward and his tests were easy (Pretty much like vocabulary tests). Lots of reading assigned but it's usually just background for the information in lecture. Read the textbook if you need more info but I really enjoyed his class!
