Honestly, this guy gets too much hate. Sure, the learning curve for EMA 201 is pretty steep, but once you understand the basics you can learn a lot from his lectures. He also is a very caring guy who will work with you if you put yourself out there.Rate My Professors ↗

If you go to all the lectures and take advantage off other resources available for statics his lectures become very helpful.Rate My Professors ↗

Ashu is way over hated. His lectures are typically not super interesting but he always does example problems. Statics is difficult but fair, and the grading policy was defined from day one. Ashu asked for feedback after the first exam and took it seriously for the next exams. I emailed him a couple times and he gave good responses. Good overall.Rate My Professors ↗

He is hated too much. Hes not that bad, I've had way worse professors, and the content is just very challenging.Rate My Professors ↗

I would not wish this professor on my worst enemy. You have no sense of where you stand in the class despite estimates of a curve. Within the last week of class, the professor changed the class curve from 15% to .4%. Truly this was the least clear class I have ever taken and I would not take it again if you paid me. Would highly recommend running.Rate My Professors ↗

Sharma does not want to teach EMA 201 (he said he wished he was teaching other courses on the first day of class) and wants to make it as difficult as he can for his students. Would not recommend him as a professor.Rate My Professors ↗
