Ai Ethics was a really cool class! I am philosophy major with little background in computer science or coding and I was still able to follow and understand the course really well. The creative project is really fun, my partner and I made a Zine that explained course concepts. I enjoyed the creative freedom and flexibility of the project very much.

Zimmermann taught academic principles of fairness, ethics, and the philosophy of AI in an interesting and engaging way for people coming from STEM heavy or non-philosophy backgrounds. She is exceptionally busy but her class felt like it was neatly prepared each day. For anyone interested in AI/ML or technology policy her classes are recommended.

Philosophy 543 with Professor Zimmerman offers a refreshing change of pace. Weekly discussions feature student presentations followed by peer reviews and group dialogue. As a Computer Sciences major, I did not feel out of place. Quite the opposite in fact–it was the most fun I've had in a while. I highly recommend!

Professor Zimmermann is is very well spoken and her lectures are easy to follow. Her slides contain just enough information, but attendance is still necessary considering how much of this class is built on in-class discussion. There are plenty of opportunities to earn points and Prof. Z is flexible with scoring and assignments.

Professor Zimmermann's lectures for Philos541 were well suited to support my learning as we engaged in a variety of activities (debates, outlines, small-group discussion). Constructive and supportive feedback was given on essays to help improve writing. Overall, I enjoyed all of the topics we covered, so I would definitely recommend!

Professor Zimmerman is an incredibly knowledgable teacher who made Philos341 interesting and relatable. She teaches topics that could find to be somewhat dry in a way that makes this feel important, interesting, and crucial for the progression of modern day policy questions. This class has only 1 paper and two exams so I highly recommend taking it.
