He explains idea clearly. However, this does not mean that his class is easy. In fact, his math522 relies heavily on algebra tricks and skills, and you also need high maturity in coming up with various ways( or even tricks) to prove some very abstract theorem in homework. What is even worse is that he is not willing to help.Rate My Professors ↗

Only 3 weeks into it and probably the best math class I've had. Andrej explains stuff extremely well. Made me realize how much more I need to learn when he tells us to get our hands dirty and prove something simple looking. I hear his exams are hard too.Rate My Professors ↗

Honestly the worst. He's REALLY smart and qualified to do mathematics, but the same does not apply to his ability to teach it. Spent calculus lecture doing proofs not accessible to first-year students. I understood and got by solely because of my TA and many students weren't so lucky. The weekly discussion quiz got old real quick.Rate My Professors ↗

Very difficult. Expected students to know way more coming in to the class than it seemed like most of them did. He did not tell the students what they were supposed to know he just assumed they knew it from previous classes.Rate My Professors ↗

Had taken BC calc in highschool and thought I would therefore be better off coming into this class... not the case. He makes the material seemingly much more difficult and wordy than need be. Wrote the text book so it's just as unhelpful. Lectures only make you more confused and lost.Rate My Professors ↗
