Currently in 360. I do think Amanda wants students to do well but the layout of the course is confusing and unhelpful. It's never clear what should be turned in or printed out for class, expectations are unclear. I don't feel that her feedback is accurate to a true workplace. I had such a major problem with Amanda in GB360 that I had to appeal my grade to the associate dean, because her teaching and policies were so ridiculous. She word for word says that the class is too big for her to work with individual students. Not ideal.Rate My Professors ↗
I think all the negative reviews tell you the truth, that is genuinely how it is. Amanda has good intentions I think and seems to try very hard, but she would be a better fit in the English department or teaching a smaller non-required class. She tends to be very unhelpful and unkind when you meet with her 1 on 1 to solve a problem.Rate My Professors ↗
Amanda has three major problems: severe lack of real-world business experience, a massive stream of pointless, painstaking, long and not valuable assignments, and she can be very cold. Gen Bus 360 is easily the School of Business's worst class, and Amanda being uncaring for her students makes it much worse.Rate My Professors ↗
This class is a 3 credit class but the instructor's amount of reading assignments, group projects, quizzes, etc. is that of a 4-5 credit class. There is tons of busy work and convoluted instruction given. Do NOT take this course if you don't have to.Rate My Professors ↗
