Amanda is amazing because she's very understanding. Her lectures are enjoyable and very engaging. It is my most difficult class though which I find ironic. You are able to redo writing assignments and get extra credit. The tests are what I find difficult, especially only being 30 points, but I'm sure I'll get an A if not AB (currently at 85%)Rate My Professors ↗
Professor Evenstone is one of the most kind and understanding professors I've had. I was struggling to find a class mid-semester and she understood my situation and allowed me to join. I had to make up all the work, but she was always checking in on me and offering advice whenever I needed it. Exams are also very easy, especially with a notecard.Rate My Professors ↗
Amanda was passionate about the topic and accommodated to student's needs. There were three exams-all multiple choice- and one paper/ a few reflections. She takes random attendance but also offers 10 points extra credit. She posts lectures online after class. The material is pretty straight forward and you get a note card on exams.Rate My Professors ↗
While I didn't find the material to be overly interesting, I thought Amanda made this course worthwhile to take. She was very kind and caring of all the students. If you put in effort, you can easily pull out an A. Lecture is not overly important and reading through the material the day before the exam can help you get a good grade. Overall most people seem to like her as a professor but I find her lectures to be very boring and she literally just reads off of the slides. Notes are posted after class, and there are only multiple choice exams. There are opportunities for extra credit which is nice but unnecessary. She makes learning easy and fun. She understands her students (as she is one herself) and she is clearly really passionate and knowledgeable about her material.
