Her lectures were interesting because she talks in lecture with no slides. She just sits on the table then talks about the topic for the day. It's almost like a huge discussion because she asks for opinions and thoughts a lot. She is a very bubbly person and friendly. Alice is great. She took a shot of whiskey our last day of lecture. New & current topic each week in class so it stayed interesting. No tests; just fieldwork notetaking & papers. The final 10-15 page paper is literally just your semester papers combined with tweaking. Took attendance with notecards, but I skipped a few lectures and still got an A.Rate My Professors ↗
Alice is amazing! She is the best professor I've ever had in my 3 years at UW. Extremely knowledgeable, passionate,and approachable, and she doesn't act conceited at all even though she is brilliant and one of the best sociologists in the country. TAKE HER CLASS!
