Focus on investigating and applying social theory to contemporary issues impacting music learning and music teaching in a playful and engaging manner. Develop a "theory toolkit" you can use to understand and consider curriculum planning and experience design, teaching and pedagogy, music making and performance, creating, listening, and investigating interdisciplinary connections. Identify and address a pressing phenomenon or issue related to music making, music learning, and music teaching. Application of social theories to critically consider the phenomenon, and identification of future research and pedagogical practices. Overview of concepts and theories from philosophy and sociology.
