What you’ll be able to do
Describe Ojibwe language, culture, and history, and of key historical and ongoing relations with the United States.
Read and write the Ojibwe language using the standard orthography in use in Wisconsin and Minnesota.
Carry on basic conversation in Ojibwe (speaking and understanding) in a variety of common social situations, such as greetings and leave-takings, talking about the weather, sharing meals, and asking informational questions and giving appropriate responses.
Recognize the basic grammar of Ojibwe as it applies to communicative functions (making statements, asking questions and giving commands), and be able to inflect (decline and conjugate) nouns and verbs in various basic functions.
