Principles governing the thermodynamics and kinetics of phase transformations and microstructure evolution. Nucleation and growth processes in precipitation, recrystallization, solidification, oxidation, martensitic, ordering and spinodal reactions. Transformation behavior in polymers, biomaterials and nanomaterials.
