Boost emerging graduate research plans by gaining operations skills in independent knowledge acquisition and technical skills in basic computational biology. Activities include shaping a research question, identifying barriers in the research process, building a reference bibliography of relevant background literature, using databases and other electronic resources that inform research, and operating basic tools to determine gene function.
