She was TERRIBLE with communication to both students and TA's. Instructions were NEVER clear and assignments were SUPER difficult to understand. TA's were just as confused as students - avoid this professor at ALL COSTS!!

Her seminars have been the highlight of my week! She is so knowledgeable in misinformation and disinformation and her involvement in research in this field is so inspiring. She is an easy grader, kind, very responsive to emails. She is not the best with technology, but it's not something that disadvantages students at all. She is super sweet!

I had intro to strat com w her. Lectures were boring and insufferable. She'd ramble on about an old ad campaign but was so quiet that we could barely hear. Even if you didn't come to class, everything important you needed to know for the exam was written on the PP. Easy to mentally check out when nothing of substance is added verbally in lecture.

The class structure is not conducive to learning. We're assigned weekly readings, have to submit discussion q's, and then classmates lead the entire class discussion?? I'm sorry, but I'm paying to get instructed by a PROFESSOR. No PPT lectures, nothing. Just readings and occasional comments. She obviously doesn't care to teach. Worst class by far.

Show up, speak a few times, submit work on time and you will pass. Readings are interesting and based on current events. Sometimes discussions can get repetitive. Grades are determined from a bunch of smaller assignments that may seem confusing at first, but I promise that they aren't that bad at all. Had textbooks but I rarely read them.

Professor Young Mie is a very smart woman, but has no respect for her students. She was 30 minutes late to our exam, never apologized, but instead scolded us the following lecture for not respecting "her time." She has a lot to learn as a professor. I would not recommend taking a class with her if you want to feel respected as a student.

I NEVER write bad reviews, but J565 with Young Mie was brutal. She was 30 min late to our 1 exam, ended a lecture 30 min early to "punish" us for not paying attention to material that wouldn't be on an exam, and asked meaningless questions on TopHat. She is extremely intelligent/research savvy, but she is beyond unorganized and legit cannot teach.

Worst professor I've had at UW-Madison. Lectures are extremely dry. She has required attendance and then is confused as to why people aren't paying attention in class. Showed up 30 minutes late for our exam and left early one day in protest of people not paying attention. Avoid her at all costs. The only saving grace was a decent TA.

She was by the far the worst professor I have ever had at the J-school and possibly the worst I've had at UW-Madison. She has no respect for her students or their time. She is smart, I don't think she is a bad person but that doesn't make her a good teacher. She's hard to understand and gives huge work loads with unreachable expectations.

Her lectures are painfully boring. She wastes lectures on pointless information so it's difficult to know what you should actually pay attention to.

Technology for Social Change - BEWARE OF THIS CLASS. She changes due dates at a whim, doesn't give clear directives, and there is very little room for student decision making. I saw her put classmates in tears. Very tough experience for all involved. We spent a lot of time outside of class venting about how frustrated we were.

She's super sweet and this class is VERY easy if you do the work. Project can be stressful, but you have the whole semester to do it with a group so it's actually not that bad. Sometimes i felt the lectures were pointless tho and wish we got more work time in class.

Really avoid her as your professor. As a person she is nice, but as a teacher she is beyond awful. She runs her class very poorly and she has no rush to get anything done. Her class was very frustrating and it was very 'my way or the highway' feel. SO boring, she loves to hear herself talk for 75 mins. She might know her stuff, but she can't teach.

This is an awesome class. Lectures and exams are straight forward and easy. The final project is stressful and challenging, but if you've been through 202, you'll be fine. If you finish your project, you cant get less than an A. Kim is extremely nice and is really cute and fashionable.

Very easy and nice teacher. I don't think she knows how to give lower than an A on ANYTHING. The class structure is poor though and I don't feel like I learned a lot. This class is essential to strat comm majors and I didn't find this course useful. If you want low expectations, take a class with her.

A very nice teacher. Very helpful in office as well as in class. Even helped me with job search.

She couldn't communicate. Also, she's stubborn (looks nice initially), and difficult to associate with.
