He is amazing! Genuinely cares about his students. He gives you so much material to study for exams, and I love the way his class is laid out. The material for this class is complicated and tough, but Wu did a solid job teaching it. Most of your grade comes from the bi-weekly review questions and the two exams. While the tests were hard, they were the best written exams I've ever taken (Rare the UO). Study accurately, come to class, ask questions and even a dunce like me can passRate My Professors ↗
Professor Wu is my favorite finance professor. The course material is difficult, but he takes time to explain it and makes sure that everyone understands what's going on. He demonstrates care for his students and is a really kind, approachable individual. Definitely show up to class and take good notes to do well, but highly recommend him!Rate My Professors ↗
Professor Youchang is a very intelligent professor who broke down complex concepts into simpler ways to think, making them easier to understand. I would take this professor for any Finance 462/562 class requirement. He cares about the material and how his students learn. One of my favorite teachers he teaches at UO now and is a good teacher that wants you to succeed. Class is challenging, but can be done if you pay attention and do the homework. Tests are very straight forward with no surprises and curves the entire class. Gave points back on the midterm and extra credit opportunities throughout the term.Rate My Professors ↗
Overall a good professor. He does move fairly fast but takes time to explain it if someone doesn't understand something. Textbook is optional but I would suggest getting it if you need extra practice questions. You are allowed a note sheet for the midterm and final.
