Professor Nienhauser is extremely nice and clearly cares about the student. He also really enjoyed the subject. I would prefer the class size to be small, and if you like the topic, you will definitely enjoy his class. Really recommend his class.

Grade the discussion assignment before the due day, and ask the student to not revise it because he does not want to look again. The grading rubric is changing without telling students or showing in the syllabus. Just avoid him! you will not regret.

-Attendance is mandatory: you might read aloud and always fill out a response sheet -Papers are short, with little guidance (we were lucky he decided to explain everything). -NO LAPTOPS ANYMORE. -quiz open notes/book, but he doesn't cover readings well. -GROUP PRESENTATION is vague and might be difficult for english speakers -NO TESTS

Easy but boring. No tests but he gives little pop quizzes that don't really matter. There are 2 pretty long papers but basically everyone gets an A. He's strict about posts twice a week- but that's basically all he has to grade on so its understandable. Attendance sucks but bring a laptop... and you'll be fine....
