I like Dr. Brown and would take his classes again in further studies. Dr. Brown is a dedicated professor who cares for his students and listens to different opinions. He is responsible and responsive to students' questions and concerns. There are also extra credit assignments at the end which you can use to boost your grade. Tough class. There is a lot of reading required(9 books) and exams are typically id's and essays. It's helpful to have some knowledge of history of that region, otherwise places/names can be a bit confusing considering the time span covered. Prof. does have the most AMAZING voice though. Very mellow even though class can drag on for eons.Rate My Professors ↗
Prof. Brown is very knowledgeable, but he wants you to read a ton of things. If you don't mind a heavy load of reading then this class is fine. Also be prepared for massive hand cramps from writing.Rate My Professors ↗
