Amazing professor. Classic easy A class, but if you put in a little more you will get SO MUCH more out of it. VERY interesting class. Took for fun and loved it. Walter is available after class and loves questions and chatting. Truly a jem in a sea of terrible teachers. Absolute pleasure and an easy A, win-win. People in class usually suck though.

I took Professor Goodman's class during the summer for a requirement and I actually enjoyed it. He goes out of his way to provide extra readings that are short but super interesting and optional. He grades fairly and lets you know what to expect. He is also quite flexible when you have questions.

Five bug classification quizzes that you have to memorize some pictures for. One is dropped. Five fairly easy essays and you can decide which ones you do. Raise a bug where it does not matter if it dies, you can get a new one. Very easy class and very interesting lectures.

Professor Goodman is an amazing researcher, lecturer, and person. People may not take this class seriously because "oh, we're raising a bug, cool". I took this class as a senior, and I learned more than I have in many other coursers. Take it seriously, and it will be one of the most rewarding lectures of your college career.
