About this rating

Raw average: 4.00/5 from 5 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

Professor Barger is the nicest guy and cares a lot about students actually retaining something from the class rather than the grades, etc. The class isn't necessarily an easy A, but if you go to the lectures and pay attention you'll be fine. This was my favorite class this semester - would defs recommend!

I enjoyed class, it was kinda interesting, and a good way to get science credits. Super friendly guy.

While the material was very simple, the presentation was very disorganized. This prof. may know his stuff, but he can't teach it to save his life. Lectures and tests are his stream of consciousness, and he frequently fails to explain what he is talking about and sometimes contradicts himself. A good class with a poor professor.

I got an A in the class pretty easy, it's not like most physics classes and focuses on concepts. Concepts that may be relevant to life someday. I highly recommend his class. It's also not the end of the world to miss lecture. All notes are online.

He's a super nice guy who knows a lot about what he's teaching, and has experience in the field. One time I forgot to do the homework, then did it during lecture and he accepted it. No discussion sections and easy exams. He goes out of his way to make the class qualitative instead of quantitative, and when math is involved he gives you the formulas
