Shapiro gets a bad rap but wasn't bad in my experience. His accent is fine, actually makes him more interesting imo. The material IS boring, but if you do the homework and get direction from TAs for projects, the class is just fine. I got an A no problem

A good course, a lot of work, but I learned quite a bit too. Professor Shapiro seems nice, the grading was fair or better. The lectures were really interesting.

The worst teacher I have have thus far. He has a bad accent and doesn't explain things well. The HW and assignments take forever and require a bunch of useless work.

Excessive workload, pointless material, and on top of it all, he can't even correctly do any of the problems he assigns. Don't even bother with this guy.

Most egotistical and overall worst prof I had in all of undergrad, hands down. I've been in the professional engineering world for a couple years now and haven't once used the computer modeling "Boolean operations" he insisted that we learn. Utterly useless and an absolute waste of our time.

Worst Prof I've ever had. Every homework and lab is tedious and busy work. Lecture is useless and the software we are forced to use is horrible and confusing. Unfortunately I am already proficient in what this class is supposed to teach me... but I still ended up with a poor grade because of the busy work.
