About this rating

Raw average: 3.15/5 from 33 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

I studied with Uli (Dr. Schamiloglu) for 2 years. He is an super person who had an amazing relationship with his students. He got me full funding for 2 years and keeps up with me 20 years later!

His LCA 266 class was a breeze. A take home midterm, which took forever, and a slightly shorter final (also take-home). You don't have to read the books because you can use them on the quizzes in discussion. Check them out from the library if his TA doesn't let you. Attendance is very optional. I just chilled and listened to music during lectures.

Quality 1/5Difficulty 4/5
This guy is awful, his lectures are useless, the TA doesn't help and the take home tests are impossibly specific.

Quality 3/5Difficulty 3/5
Lectures are useless and not mandatory. The TA sucks; the most of the discussion sessions are film-showing and he tracks attendance! Take-home exams are time consuming and not helpful at all. He just wants to check key terms in the reading. Do the Doc conversion as the guy said under. Do NOT take it if you are not very into this topic.

This rating is to help people out on the LCA 100 midterm and final. In order to save yourself literally days of work time, do the following. Turn all of the PDF readings into word docs so you can search for key terms and phrases. Google how to do this. Remember to rotate the PDFs before you convert them. Also, search using Google Books for the text
