Tyler is definitely my favorite professor. This is the first time I've ever realized, never so clearly before, that those discussions/topics/assignments/group project are not given just to make things difficult or hurt your GPA, but are carefully designed to be meaningful and helpful.

Ty is definitely a more reserved professor, but still fun to chat with. Industry legend and knows a lot of things about risk and finance. 655 can be tough if you've only taken Finance 300, but if you are dedicated you can learn a lot. Covariance will be engraved into you.

Great professor who provides an excellent learning experience. It cannot be stressed enough how much covariance matters!

Ty does the remarkable and actually makes RMI interesting to learn. One of the best professors I have had in my time at UW. I would highly recommended taking this class.

Ty is one of the best professors I've had the opportunity to learn from at UW. His research and industry experience mesh really well with the content of the course and he finds a way to make the interconnectedness of finance and risk management (ERM) an engaging topic to approach each class. FIN/RMI double majors should take 655 with Ty!
