Great teacher no matter your skill level.

Zhang Lao Shi has the best lecture slides! And she really does a great job at breaking down language structure.

She's a good teacher.

Zhang Lao Shi is incredible, this would have to be the best Chinese related class I've ever taken. She makes sure that if you attend class, you will have to participate, so don't worry about participation. She also knew my Chinese wasn't great, and was super nice when I couldn't articulate my answer. Definitely take her class.

She is super friendly and very good at teaching. She welcomes all questions and is good at answering them. I'd definitely take her class again in the future! There was a lot of homework but that's to be expected with any language class. Other than that, it was an enjoyable experience!

This was a really educational and challenging class! Learned a lot but it was definitely much more difficult than Chinese 301 and 302. Not an extreme amount of homework but the assignments do take quite a bit of time. Grading is fair, hard to get perfect scores (as opposed to 301 and 302) but still primarily As. Would recommend this class!

Super fun class! Lectures are always really engaging and open. They always release a document saying exactly what will be on the exam (down to the word), so as long as you put in the work you will get an A. Homework is due every day (which is typical of a 4 credit class), and usually takes about 1 hour or so. Zhang Laoshi rocks! Take her class!

The class works side by side with the work book, its a very partner based class which allows you to practice with others around you.

Zhang laoshi is a wonderful instructor. I went into this class with five years of Chinese instruction under my belt and still learned a ton. I would recommend taking intensive notes and you HAVE to attend class if you want to do well on the tests. Missing even one lecture can screw you for the whole semester since they're so vocab-heavy.

Zhang laoshi is simply an incredible teacher! Her teaching style is very accessible and well rounded, and you never feel silly asking her questions or making mistakes as a beginner. She shows genuine interest in her students, and always wants you to succeed.

I love her so much. She's so wholesome and caring. Took me out to boba after two semesters of her intro chinese classes. I cried when I learned I wouldn't have her again for chinese.

Zhang lao shi was very caring and I found that as long as I paid attention in class and learned how to write the characters we learned soon after learning them in class, that the class was extremely straightforward. She answered all questions that people asked and even stayed after class to teach people things they were curious about.

It's a foreign language class, and Chinese is super difficult for English speakers to learn. She does a great job of encouraging students and is funny in class. It looks like Chinese'll be online for a while because of COVID, but you can tell she's trying to make learning more accessible online.

Zhang laoshi is one of those profs that really cares for their students and has a passion for teaching. The class itself is pretty difficult, but Zhang laoshi is always supportive and willing to help.
