Tessa is one of the best profs Ive had here, and one of my favorites. The class is graded on only a few things, but she is great at explaining things, and it's easy to get help from her. The concepts aren't THAT difficult either. There is a textbook that she recommends you read, but I didn't find that it helped very much.
Tessa is great, super sweet, and makes it a point to know her students. The class is graded by only a few things which can make it difficult to get your grade up BUT she is super approachable and probably one of the kindest professors I have had at UW.
Professor Conroy was an amazing teacher. She teaches the material in a super interesting way and really makes the class relevant to societal issues. Your grade besides tests very heavily depends on the homework assignments, but there is help available if you need it. Overall an awesome teacher and class.
Literally one of the nicest and most understanding professors I have ever had. She gives a lot of example problems in class to make sure you understand the material, so as long as you show up and participate, you can ace an exam with 2-3 days of studying. She will give study guides and review packets before exams too, which is very helpful.
Really caring & kind professor!
Mrs. Conroy has been my absolute favorite professor at UW. She is so kind and genuinely cares about her students. She is very intelligent and makes lectures easy to understand and entertaining. One of the few classes I didn't mind going to.
Course's theme: MicroEcon. Tessa is very patient and helpful, and she'll give you great help during office hours. Not a difficult course: 3 non-commulative test with no curve, questions are directly from notes/ HW/ Tophat (which she'll release before tests). Attend discussions, do HWs, go over the materials carefully, and you'll get a good grade.
Professor Conroy is awesome. She's very passionate about what she's teaching and tries to give as much help as possible. She tries to involve students with TopHat and other in class activities which can be very helpful. The class isn't necessarily hard, it just isn't curved and each test is worth 25% of your grade so it can be difficult to do well.
Tests and homeworkers are not difficult. But NO CURVE at all for this course. NO FLEXIBILITY. So you have to be above 94% to get an A. I think majority of students who took this course probably get B or below. I don't recommend if you want to keep or boost your GPA.
This course is not difficult, but attendance is mandatory. There will be 3 exam, each is 25% and rest 25% is in-class work and homework combined. That's why your attendance is mandatory. Except for attendance mandatory which is uncommon in college classes, it was a decent class.
Great Professor for ECON credit
