Vampire Lit was a great class. Toma really knows his stuff! Half the class is lecture based on readings and half the class is based on films. The textbooks (his own books) are really interesting and well written.

Great choice for a litt class. This class doesn't require a ton of work, so its great to add it onto a heavy course schedule. Weekly facebook posts, 1 written test (he gives you all the answers beforehand) and 2 essay tests. Every opportunity I had to talk to Toma was positive, he's a great professor!

Went over the readings in class, which made it pretty unnecessary to read. Worked in groups the entire time, very easy class, just needed to be there.

Tomi was great. The class was intriguing and interesting. The workload wasn't very heavy at all which was nice. If you show up and follow along during lecture you'll do just fine. If you do the readings you'll do even better.

You can tell that Toma has been giving theses exact same lectures for awhile now. It's easy to get a good grade without really doing any of the readings, although I read a few and thought they were interesting (and reading the text made lecture more engaging as well.) Honestly didn't feel like I got a lot out of the class though.

Bad lecturer. It is a class about VAMPIRES! It shouldn't be hard to make it interesting (talking about cultural vampires, sociology, or psychology) but he finds a way to make them both boring and unclear. He went over everything we needed to read in class so in retrospect there was no need to read anything. It might be easy, but no engagement.
