Todd is a great professor-- I just really didn't like the structure of the class. The semester-long group project is nearly impossible to collaborate on, and I really didn't know what was going on half the time.Rate My Professors ↗
Todd was a very enjoyable professor for soc140. He seems to really care for his students and I enjoyed how he offered many ways to earn extra credit. The class is also pretty low effort which I really like. As long as you do the readings (they take about an hour so not bad) and listen to the class discussion, you will excel. Todd is a really nice and likable guy but the format for this class is a little bit odd. The lectures are essentially group discussions and instead of midterms and a final exam, there are biweekly quizzes which are definitely difficult. The discussion section is very demanding with a very difficult and heavily weighted project.Rate My Professors ↗
Todd was a good professor. He cares about his students, but his style is very different from most. The pod setup and class lecture are practically a discussion for the whole period, but the content is interesting. Be sure to ask questions if you are confused about the bi-weekly quizzes. He is a nice guy and cares about his students. Its about 15 pages of easy reading for two days/week takes like 2 hours max/week. Lectures are participation based with students talking instead of him. The quizzes are tough but if you do the readings you will do well. A bad thing is that instead of a final, there is a group project but its easy.Rate My Professors ↗
