He doesnt actually lecture, he just throws a bunch of random pieces of information at students and shoves his opinions about leaders down students throats. expects students to remember the tiniest of details from readings during lecture. have had several peers complain that they were downgraded for writing papers supporting the opposing viewpointRate My Professors ↗
He gave us a final that in part required students to define random terms and quotes that were not brought up at all during class and this made it incredibly hard to focus on the content I did know during the final. I once got a B+++ on a paper and when I asked what my grade was he said it "depended on where everyone else fell"? Avoid this class!!!!
a terrible professor. smart, but cant teach. if you want to learn how to waste three months, this is the class for you. gives students no time to complete assignments. didnt post a final draft of the syllabus until mid November. also students who lose their debates are downgraded.Rate My Professors ↗
literally the worst prof I've had in the 3 yrs I've been at UW. Do not take this class, it's a waste of time. I didn't learn anything. I wish I could go back in time and stop myself from signing up for this class. went the entire semester w/o knowing our grade. there is no grades section on canvas. asked about our grades to see how were doing. he gave us a number (with two decimal places!)ranging from 1-15 (15 people in class) he said no one was 1-3 or 11-15. He has unclear grading criteria. Students are required to turn in weekly assignments and 4 larger papers. He expects students to remember minuscule details from each reading. He makes students fish for what hes looking for during class discussions- expecting us to state specific quotes from readings to describe something hes thinking of.Rate My Professors ↗
