Probably one of the worst courses you can take in UW Madison for credits. The projects are time consuming and strictly graded. The grading rubrics are unclear and feedbacks are slow. The lectures are completely unrelated to the assignments but he still takes attendance. What's even worse is that my TA made it even tougher. DO NOT TAKE FOLKLORE 100Rate My Professors ↗

He seems like a nice guy but the class is structured in a way that makes no sense. There are a total of 100 points in the grade book, which means you can only lose 7 points the entire semester to still receive an A. In addition, grading is really harsh. In all I would definitely not recommend taking this course with Thomas Dubois.Rate My Professors ↗

Nice guy, but this class is very disorganized, the professor will say one thing, and the TA's something else. Very hard to get an A for a 100-level class. Assignments are also very time-consuming, and again, the grading is tough. If you're taking this class for credit, please do yourself a favor and sign up for something else.Rate My Professors ↗
