Professor Kelley knows her material, but she is extremely bad at conveying this to the class, and DOES NOT KNOW how to explain concepts very well. In addition, she is rather absent minded, but on the bright side, very enthusiastic and willing to help. The course itself is very misleading, and stretches the material in order to fill up the semester.Rate My Professors ↗
Class was not at all what I expected. Course guide said it was British and American Writers, but he called it life forms. You read all scientific literature. She discusses content in lecture, but expects you to know figurative language for the final. Horrible class. I regret taking it. Class is not what it sounds like in the description. The class was easy, but extremely boring. Multiple long articles to read each week. No tests or quizzes and papers are very easy to do. If you have the ability to make stuff up as you go, you'll be fine. Attendance in discussion is mandatory, lecture is randomizedRate My Professors ↗
The professor is very enthusiastic about her work, but overall, a terrible class. Material is very poorly explained and the course description is very misleading. Took this class thinking it was about British and American literature. I was wrong. It was all scientific essays from the 18th and 19th century. She is very unclear with her assignments, and although passionate about what she does, the format of the class does not make sense. I regret taking this course.
