He's a wonderful professor who is eager to teach you Arabic. As an intro level you will learn Arabic very well while also getting a comprehensive view of the historical significance of the Arabian world with all it has to offer. He is a very kind person but a good teacher he is not. Inconsistency with slides. Homework scheme is completely horrendous, you could type the right answer and get no credit. He is also a bit insensitive, making comments about students facial expression and comments about his expectations of students based on their cultural or religious identity.Rate My Professors ↗
Prof Tarek is by far the most caring and helpful to his students. He makes sure to accommodate and change the structure of the course in the best way that fits his students. Yes the HW is a lot but this is a 5-credit course which should be expected. You will be fine if you show up, put in the effort, and engage with the class.Rate My Professors ↗
Professor Tarek is one of the best teachers. His lectures are very clear. He explains everything beautifully. if the students didn't finish the homework on time Professor Tarek accepts late homework, he is very respectful and kind. The class was tough in the beginning and there were many issues , but Dr.Ziadna was very accommodating and listened to the problems we presented him. He even let's us go to other classes for participation If we miss our class. The class is mostly based on participation and homework, so if you go to lecture and do the homework, you'll be fine.Rate My Professors ↗
He is one of the most caring, funniest, likable professors ive had at UB and probably the most fun i've had in a class because it is very engaging and lets you actively learn. Any issues that we've had, we brought up to him and he fixed it and even went beyond and changed the structure of the class, showing that he cares a lot. He is very kindRate My Professors ↗
