Stefan is awesome. The T-Shirt project is a blast but make sure you pick a good group. Case Studies are easy but can be tough with everything else going on. Everything is graded easy but the exam is memorizing the readings/videos. KNOW THE NAMES OF THE PEOPLE IN THE VIDEOS!!
Koehler was a good teacher. Tons of group projects, but he made the course material very interesting and he knew a ton about the subject matter.
Stefan is the fricken man. Coming from an engineering background, this was my first "business-like" class. He is extremely passionate about the subject and really makes lectures enjoyable. The "busy work" that others are referring to is not bad. Most of the work is done with your group, so finding a group that pulls there own weight is crucial
Felt it was a valuable class for students who want a taste of entrepreneurshipbusiness. "Flipped classroom" style of learning which was frustrating because it's hard to have a decent discussion in a room with 50 other students. But Stefan's very passionate and quirky, which always made for a fun and interesting class. Glad I took it.
I wasn't interested in the course topic so I had a hard time getting into the class. You watch online lectures from the YC combinator series and then classtime is a discussion. This is the t-shirt entrepreneur class. No final exams just 5 pop quizzes when I took it. Overall, pretty average class.
Honestly, the best way I can describe this class is ??????. It was a fairly easy and relaxed course, but Stefan is pretty unorganized and all over the place. He uses 10+ different online or social media platforms throughout the course and does not make directions clear. It is very difficult to keep up with all of the random busy work that he gives
This class wasn't what I was expecting. He discusses very broad concepts that will only be applicable if you are a founder of the next major tech company. Meant to be a class discussion be he often gets caught up listening to himself talk. A big portion of the class is a group project so if you have a good group class is more enjoyable.
Stefan is one of the greatest people alive. If you looked up greatness in the dictionary you would see his picture there. This man has more knowledge than Albert Einstein, and more humility than Jesus Christ. He once saved a whole classroom full of students with nothing but his German ingenuity. I will miss this legend when I am done with college.
He doesn't seem to know whats going on. He has a very hard time remembering things you say and always thinks he knows things but will often contradict himself very badly. It's an easy class but don't really expect to learn that much.
I've had an amazing experience with Stefan as my professor. Stefan is successful and inspirational yet humble. He is a very enthusiastic educator. His insight into the startup world is fascinating. This class has inspired me to do great things in business and eventually become an entrepreneur. This has been my favorite class here at UW-Madison.
Stefan is the man. His class was interesting and left me with a lot of general, but applicable business knowledge. The grading criteria were sometimes unclear, but if you put in effort, and contribute to discussion, you will receive a good grade. Stefan also ate an apple core in class once without batting an eye, so you know he's BA.
Stefan is the man! A great lecturer who knows what he is talking about. This class is a lot of busy work, and Stefan leaves it up to you to show your effort. If you are interested in entrepreneurship take this class. Stefan has great life experience and success as an entrepreneur. I really enjoyed taking his class.
Stefan is a fun professor, but this course is not. It's a headache and the final project will eat you alive if you have a bad group. Biggest problem w/Stefan is that he teaches financial projections as if we all know what he's talking about. We don't. I failed that portion of the exam. Overall, good guy, but not the right person to teach this class
Very interesting class and a great professor! He is very passionate about entrepreneurship and he gives you valuable advice if you actually wanna start your own business! The semester long project was fun to do and the grading is not harsh at all! Best professor I've ever had! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Best professor I have had at this university to date. Really makes the class fun.
Manageable to easy class. Work load isn't that bad because you are placed in a group of 2-3 and you hand in assignments as a group. Also this man will dead call on you in class so do the readings and be prepared & dress nice every class, he loves taking pictures & recording in class? & GO TO CLASS! Overall Stefan is super cool and easy to talk to.
Stefan is awesome!
Absolutely amazing professor. Greatly enjoyed coming into class every day to listen to his very authentic German accent and learn tons. Highly recommend taking a class with Stefan!
Stefan is the best professor I have had so far at UW. He is EXTREMELY helpful with any issue you could have. The final is worth 25% of your grade, but it is generally fair. I had a solid A all semester until the final & then ended with an AB. Very interesting & overall great professor! :)
This class has probably been most influential in helping me figure out what I want to do with my life, seriously! Stefan is awesome and the class is awesome.
Great professor. Very enjoyable, interesting, and passionate about his discipline (Entrepreneurship). Highly recommended.
