Sarah doesn't even teach the class and she only grades the speeches, which are recorded. The TAs do the rest of the work.
CA 370 was a very simple and easy course that I would totally recommend! The grading criteria was very clear and the class was asynchronous which I always appreciate. Lecture attendance is not mandatory but discussion is. Ali Rushevics is one of my favorite TA's I've ever had. She was so lovely and kind, definitely take this course!
Jedd was an inconsistent professor. There was not much guidance on assignments, most of her material is taken from other people, and she talked way too much about herself and her kids.
I will start by saying that jedd is an entertaining lecturer, however the curriculum and logistics were not great. I like feminism, but I found the class boring. So much reading, but I never did any of it and still did fine. Instructions for the final paper were minimal and confusing. The outline given by jedd and my TA were vastly different.
Sarah Jedd did not even teach this course, once every module (there are 9 modules) there is a video where she briefly explains the module and some podcasts, and that is all what she does in the course. You mostly rely on your TA to understand what is happening and where you currently are. Even feedback is from your TA.
Sarah Jedd doesn't teach this class. Despite her being the professor, it's all done by the TAs. She never grades anything and never lectures. We listen to"podcasts" of her talking for 5 minutes
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Dr. Jedd! She is truly the sweetest person ever and has your best interest at heart. This class was not very difficult but you must show up to lecture to answer the attendance question. 10/10 recommend any class with Dr. Jedd!
Dr. Jedd is so sweet. She loves all of the material she lectures on and makes that very clear throughout her lecture. She is super understanding and always willing to work with you. She poses an attendance question each day in lecture to ensure attendance.
Sarah is the greatest, I have taken 2 classes with her now, and if I weren't graduating, I'd take more! Her lectures are clear and she gives study guides. There are points for attendance, and lots of papers but not hard. Shes available to help students, shes quirky and has cool outfits.
I found this course to be very informative and interesting, largely due to Professor Jedd's teaching style. She is extremely knowledgeable and well-spoken, so I always looked forward to attending her lectures. The class isn't too difficult as long as you take it seriously and try to learn something. Expectations are clearly outlined from day one.
Rarely went to lecture, and still got an B. Try to go to discussion though because attendance matters there. Sarah is nice and funny, gave me extensions on my paper and midterm. Very understanding. Gives study guide, basically the exam itself. One group presentation. Very good speeches to read. Easy and enjoyable class.
