Super easy going prof. Put in a little effort and you'll get an A no problem.

Not a bad class. Prof. Johnston is a very nice teacher. If you take the class seriously by attending lecture/doing your 100% on the problem sets, you'll be fine. The OPEC group project is a bit challenging, but you get guided along the way,. It's a good class to learn about the energy/electricity markets of the world. I would strongly recommend.

very knowledgable and prepared, timely grader as well. In general a very good, well-run course. Not the most engaging, but it didn't really bother me.

Prof. Johnston was very prepared for lecture, but the material was pretty dry. She clearly wanted to do whatever she could to help the students learn, but feedback was sometimes confusing. The OPEC group project was interesting, but all groups were in need of help/guidance in order to complete it.

Prof Johnston is the best professor I have had at UW. Her lectures are so informative and organized. She is truly the sweetest person and really cares about her students and their success. The class was on energy and resources and she is so informed about the topic. I really learned a lot. LOVED THIS CLASS, would highly recommend to anyone!!!
